We highly recommend staying within the WaterColor community! Vacation homes are available throughout WaterColor and are a great option for couples, families, and groups traveling together. Staying within the community will also keep you close to all of the wedding weekend festivities. Because New Year’s Eve is a popular time to visit 30A, we strongly encourage booking accommodations early. Another great option is The Lodge 30A.

December along 30A is typically mild during the day and cooler in the evenings. We recommend checking the forecast before traveling and bringing a jacket or wrap, particularly for any outdoor portions of the weekend.

Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) and Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS) are the two most convenient options. We recommend comparing flights into both airports when making your travel plans.

If you’re staying within WaterColor and attending primarily wedding weekend events, you may not need one. However, a rental car can be helpful if you plan to explore more of 30A during your stay. Rideshare availability can also be more limited than in larger cities, particularly on New Year’s Eve.

Make a weekend of it! WaterColor is within walking or biking distance of Seaside and surrounded by some of our favorite beaches, restaurants, shops, and communities along 30A. Check out our Things to Do page for some of our favorite recommendations.
